To teach is to learn

I used to believe that I taught because I had something to offer; a tidbit of knowledge that I could share with others.
As I look back on my teaching experience I now know that it's true in part but often when I teach I learn from myself and my teaching reinforces my knowledge as I discover a wonderful "newness" about the things I thought I knew!
