In Loving Memory

I don't usually share a lot of personal information about myself or my family, this blog after all is about my art journey.  But parallel with that journey is my other journey, and like art, it was rewarding, satisfying, frustrating, time consuming and life changing. On August 5, my sweet mom gave up her eight year battle with a disease called Lewy Body Dementia and as I try to reconstruct my life without the day to day duties of her care I am struck with the realization that death is so very final in the earthly sense. I find comfort in my faith and entertain the thought of her dancing in Heaven with my dad. That gives me hope but my joy comes from knowing that I can create a legacy for her and her life journey through my scrapbooking which will keep her memory alive with love.
