Today's tag featured on Tim's blog has great possibilities especially if you want to duplicate a typeset or use a multiple word stamp like the stamp featured today. I started out heading in that direction but I didn't have enough of the re-inkers or the word stamp. Then I tried using Gelato's from Faber-Castell directly onto my stamp, spritzing with water and stamping.but I didn't like the soft look that produced. So, I dragged all my stamps out and created a college of words using my acrylic grid block from Tim Holtz. From there I took each stamp off one at a time and stamped using a variety of Distress Inks according to my pattern of words. I distressed the edges and inked them, then stamped snowflakes randomly using a Opaque white dye inkpad, embossed a snowflake on the right side, tied my tag with a green polka-dot ribbon and attached a gold Christmas tree charm.
My new favorite Distress Inks are Evergreen Bough, Festive Berries and Iced Spruce from Tim's holiday pack which I bought at The Scrapbook Store! The colors are fantastic!
