Twelve Tags of Christmas

If you haven't been following along on Tim Holtz's Blog  today would be a good day to check it out!
Tag four began with a oh darn, I don't have that die either! Then I thought, well,  I do have the snowman texture fad so I inked the inside of that and ran a white piece of paper through. The ink caused the embossing to pop out which is what I needed to scan it. I ran the scan at 125% and the snowman came out about the size of the die! Perfect. I chose to use grunge paper instead of grunge board because I knew I was going to cut my snowman out to look like the die and it worked great. The rest of the tag was done pretty much the way Tim's step by step directions went with a few exceptions where I changed things up a bit. I didn't have the on the edge snowflake die so I just used a snowflake die and cut it in half to look similar. I really like the way the Distress Crackle paint turned out on the snowman but I'm a big fan of crackle paint. If you haven't used it before it does take a while to dry so it takes patience. I'm glad it comes in a larger container now which of course I picked up at my favorite Scrapbook Store  I can't wait to see what Tim comes up with tomorrow. Have fun with this, I am.
